ArchivesYanMorvan is a publication series from the archives of the extensive career of one of the great French photojournalists Yan Morvan (1954). The publication series reveals the entirety of 50 years of photography through more than 100 magazines and books, in bi-monthly deliveries spread over a minimum of 4 years.

Yan Morvan is mostly known for his war photography. His attraction to human conflict led to the documentation of a broader range of subjects and cultures at the intersection of war sex and drugs. 

His numerous scoops has earned him not only international acclaim and celebrity but also heavy penalties: in Lebanon, for instance, he has twice been condemned to death, and twice made a miraculous escape. His work for ‘Liberation’ and ‘Paris Match’ on gang warfare led to him being taken hostage and tortured by the serial killer Guy Georges.
