WARMOES BIENNALE

WARMOES BIENNALE

The Warmoes Biënnale is an initiative by BONNE rooted in the city centre of Amsterdam, around Warmoesstraat and Zeedijk. It brings together artists, residents, local initiatives, and cultural organisations to engage with the area and the people connected to it.

It responds to a part of the city that is shaped by strong contrasts, the tourism and nightlife on one side, and the everyday neighbourhood life on the other. The focus is not to define or represent the area, but to work with what is already there.

From March 7 to May 3, 2026, the first edition takes place across different locations in the neighbourhood, presenting exhibitions, events, and site-specific works. These contribute to an open programme that brings different perspectives into the same space and time.

The Warmoes Biënnale is part of the BONNE eco-system: an ongoing effort to create platforms where artistic work, community, and context can exist side by side.
