On the 20th of September, Viviane Sassen's exhibition opened at FOAM Amsterdam. After Paris, Kyoto, and Shanghai, it's now time for the Amsterdam chapter of the major retrospective exhibition of this Dutch photography icon, showcasing 30 years of her impressive career in both art and fashion photography. Her work is instantly recognizable and exists outside the constraints of time. Her use of colour and light—or rather, her use of shadow—is impeccable and stunningly beautiful.
