We were very happy when our friend Prof. Soortkill asked us to develop a school uniform for the Smibanese University in honor of the release of his second book ‘Smibologie Vol. 1: Each One Teach One’.
The suits we made for the Smibanese University are inspired by the school uniforms worn in Surinamese high schools. This collaboration focuses on paying homage to professor Soortkill's Surinamese heritage while supporting his mission in creating a schooling platform for young people in search for purpose. The light blue polo shirt and mid blue pants are finished with embroidered branding of the Smibanese University.
During the writing of the book, the Professor stayed in Suriname and visited schools there. The school Ons Lust en Rust gave big inspiration, but is also in poor state.
For this reason, the release of the school uniform is part of a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the school. Naturally, we will donate part of the revenue of the sales of the uniforms to the cause as well. Be a part of this and donate here.
